The Security Council, Noting with concern the resumption of hostilities in Indonesia,
Having taken note of the reports of the Committee of Good Offices,
1. Calls upon the parties : (a) To cease hostilities forthwith ; (b) Immediately to release the President of the Republic of Indonesia and other political prisoners arrested since 18 December 1948 ;
2. Irutructs the Committee of Good Offices to report to the Security Council fully and urgently by telegraph on the events which have transpired in Indonesia since 12 December 1948, and to observe and report to the Security Council on the compliance witl1 sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) above.

Ayant pris acte des rapports de la Commission de bons offices,
I. Invite les parties :
a) A cesser les hostilites sur-le-champ ;
b) A mettre immediatement en liberte le President de la Republique d'Indonesie et les autres prisonniers politiques qui ont ete arretes depuis le 18 decembrc 1948;
2. Donne pour instructions a la Commission de bans
offices d'adresser d'urgence au Conseil de securite, par telegramme, un rapport detaille sur les evenements survenus en lndonesie depuis le 12 decembre 1948, et de surveiller )'execution des dispositions prevues aux alineas a et b ci-dessus et de faire rapport au Conseil.
