without vote, in the discussion of the item entitled: "Admission of New Members: report of the Committee
on the Admission of New Members concerning the application of Oman for membership in the United Nations (S/10345)."611

Decision
At its 1608th meeting, on 6 December 1971, the Council decided to refer the application of the United Arab Emirates67 for membership in the United Nations to the Committee on the Admission of New Members for examination and report.
